Status : OnlineI to am having trouble getting in. I can login it, game initializes, then instead of going to the character selection screen, it kicks me out to the desk top. All my icons are blown up and clicking on the star wars icon in the task bar does nothing. hovering over it shows only a black screen with a vertical strip down the center.
Status : OnlineD:\GAMES\SWTOR\swtor\retailclient\ << this is where my "swtor.exe" is located. Put the "steam_appid.txt" into this folder. I installed Steam last night (this is a new computer so I'm still slowly getting everything I want on it) but SWTOR was not purchased through steam and I've never run it through Steam before.
Status : Online@AstraHawk2 . This can be for a number of reasons, remove and re-add antivirus and firewall exceptions first for launcher.exe , swtor.exe and brwc.exe
Status : OnlineSWTOR isn't a Steam exclusive, and nothing stops you continuing to play on the non-Steam version, and you can even have (if you have sufficient disk space) both installed. That said, it would be nice to be able to log in on multiple accounts via the Steam version.
